'We believe travel can be a force of good for Copenhagen and you know, the whole world. We want you to get to know Copenhagen one tour at a time, so you get that behind-the-curtain experience of the place we call home.' - Mie, owner
Join us on this short, immersive, and fairytale dusted experience of 15+ of Copenhagen’s greatest hits. It’s a great introduction to Copenhagen and Denmark, where we as natives will take you under our knowledgeable wing and introduce you to fascinating royal dramas, awe-inspiring fairytales, and mind-blowing politics, all while you get to have a backdrop of Copenhagen’s major sights that complement the city’s stories. At the end of the experience, we will even provide you with personalized recommendations for how to further explore this magnificent city!
if you want to visit those unmissable Copenhagen sights as well as picking up insights from a local perspective, then this tour is for you! After all, these are the stories that have helped to shape the people who live in this gorgeous city, so why not learn directly from them?
The experience will kick off at Kafferiet, one of Copenhagen’s most charming coffee houses where you’re free to get yourself a cup of coffee before we start (just remember to arrive early!). From here, we’ll take you through some of the older parts of Copenhagen’s historical city centre through some of Copenhagen’s most famous and important sites.
At the beginning of the tour, we'll walk through some of the city's historical highlights, as your guide beguiles you with tales about Copenhagen and Denmark’s rise and demise throughout its more than 1,000-year-long history. Our walk will take us a little bit further out of the city, where you’ll be able to take in some of Copenhagen’s magical heritage as you say hi to The Little Mermaid and hear why everything is not at all what it seems where she is concerned.
Next, we’ll hear some tales about the real life Danish Royalty - and some secrets from the Royal Palace, Amalienborg - before walking through the picturesque harbor canal New Harbor (or Nyhavn as we call it in Copenhagen). Here we’ll be taking in the view from a special vantage point - don’t hesitate to ask your guide to help you capture the perfect image of this iconic place, while you get to hear about the harbor’s colorful and somewhat charming history.
With an appetite for more, you’ll head across one of Copenhagen’s most famous squares before looking upwards to admire the spire of one of Copenhagen’s oldest churches. We’re rewarded with a stunning view of the Old Stock Exchange and its dragon spire - though even this pales in comparison with the spire of Christiansborg Palace. The palace serves as the Danish parliament today, so here we will stop to tell you about Danish politics and the mind-boggling Danish welfare system which has helped us earn the title as some of the happiest people in the world many years in a row.
Here, we will end the tour at a beautiful square, which is located right next to the main pedestrian street right in the heart of Copenhagen. So put on your best walking shoes, bring your camera, and get ready for a lot of fun, Copenhagen-style! Before you leave the tour through, don’t forget to ask your guide for tips on what else to see, do, and eat in our awesome city. We would be happy to help!
